Here’s the moment that almost made me change my career for good…
During the pandemic, I found myself on Clubhouse, listening to small business founders ask questions like, “How do I get featured in the media?” and “How do I get on TV to promote my brand?”
The advice they were getting from so-called “experts” was heartbreaking. They were being told to spend a lot of money on strategies that I knew wouldn’t work.
It was then I realized I had all the answers they were looking for because I was actually their target — a national journalist and On-Air expert who has spent her career featuring people and brands in national outlets from Oprah Daily to Byrdie.com and on TV shows from TODAY to ExtraTV.
I couldn’t handle seeing hard-working entrepreneurs being pointed in the wrong direction, so I had to step in and save them.
You know what? It saved me too!
For so long, I had been wondering about my “what’s next?” in terms of my career. That’s when it hit me – sometimes you don’t realize your expertise and what comes so easy to you is what others struggle with.
The next day I introduced myself on Clubhouse not as a journalist and On-Air Expert known as “The Beauty Girl,” but rather as a PR and Media Coach.
